Tuition Costs, Fees And Financial Aid
2011-2012
The cost of the Ph.D. program is the total of tuition for the prescribed number of years depending on whether a student is full-time or part-time, the non-refundable application fee, the program extension fee(s) (when applicable), and the graduation fee.

| Yearly Tuition (Full-Time) | $18,928 payable in two installments of $9,464 at the beginning of each semester (Fall and Winter/Spring). This fee is paid for three years and is subject to change. |
| Yearly Tuition (Part-Time) | $9,464 payable in two installments of $4,732 at the beginning of each semester (Fall and Winter/Spring). This fee is paid for six years and is subject to change. |
| Program Extension Fee (Full-Time) | $500 yearly for each year beyond the initial three years. |
| Program Extension Fee (Part-Time) | $250 yearly for each year beyond the initial six years. |
| Returned Check Fee | $15 |
| Transcript Fee | $10 |
| Graduation Fee | $185 |
Financial Aid and Scholarships
Financial aid and scholarships are not available for the International Ph.D. program. Students may be eligible for privately funded student loan programs. For more information please refer to www.teri.org.
Federal Stafford Loans: (Program Pending Approval-Start Date To Be Announced)
Domestic matriculated students in good academic standing who are enrolled in the D.Min. program may also apply for Federal Stafford Loans through the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program. In order to be eligible for Federal Stafford Loans students must be registered for at least 6 credits per semester the loans are requested. Auditors are not eligible for Stafford Loans. The following forms must be completed and received by the Financial Aid Office prior to any loans being awarded:
- Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov
- Hartford Seminary Financial Aid Application
- 2008 Federal Income Tax Return
Priority date for Need Based Financial Aid and Federal Stafford Loans is June 1 for the academic year that begins with the fall semester. Need-based Financial Aid will be awarded based on availability while Federal Stafford Loans can be awarded anytime.
